YouTube Downloader is actually just a tiny bit misleading, because it doesn’t only help you to download videos to YouTube, you can also do a whole lot more. YouTube really has changed the face of the world hasn’t it . . . people can now become a virtual star in their own lunchtimes (and some for much longer!) Anyway, back to the YouTube Downloader . . . this free program enables you to download and convert legal videos online so that you can view them a bit later on your laptop, desktop or mobile device. The YouTube Downloader converts files to MP4, 3GP, MOV, AVI, WMV and MP3.

YouTube Downloader (as I’ve already pointed out) also does a whole heap more. When you come across a video which you’d like to download simply copy the video page URL and then open up YouTube Downloader. This freeware program automatically pastes the video URL into an appropriate field, then you can choose the download quality you prefer (Best Available is pretty good) and the destination folder of your choice, hit the Download button and . . . as soon as the download is finished just hit Play and enjoy the video.  If you want to be able to watch the video from elsewhere you can convert and export it with a different file format as well as making minor alterations to volume, start and finish times etc.  You can even download full playlists if you want to, instead of individual videos.

The latest edition of the YouTube Downloader 3.3  may have a few functionality problems or bugs to iron out, but stick with it because this freeware download manager really is great and once you get used to having it around you’re sure to use it more and more.
